Street Style: Powder Blue Fever

Vest - Zara | Sweater - Oak + Fort | Pants - UNIF

So I've decided to start a new series called #CasualFriday. I'm extremely lucky that I can sport casual wear everyday of the week.

I thought it'd be fun to share some inspo surrounding what I would think would be most people's favourite day of the week… #FriYAY!!

Although these jeans might be a little bit too dishevelled to wear to the office, I love how they give any outfit that extra edge. I paired it with a superbly oversized sweater and my favourite powder blue vest!

I know… so much colour right?! I challenge you to try a new colour next week and let me know what you think!

2016 Necessities : Camel Coat

Coat - Zara

(Similar here, here, here)

There's nothing like finding the perfect jacket to take you from grocery shopping, movie watching all the way to a fancy date night.

I have this jacket ready to go at all times, AKA it is hanging on the back of my chair everyday. Lately, I haven't been feeling extremely inspired by my closet, but that tends to happen mid-season (so…right about now). Thanks to this jacket, I can feel put together even by throwing on just a simple sweater and jeans with this camel coat on top.

So yes, if you're still on the hunt for a good winter coat … because you're just realizing its winter like me… I definitely suggest getting your hands on one of a Camel tone.

Not so oversized

Blazer - old BCBG (Similar here) | Jeans - Frame Denim | Belt - Club Monaco
Sunglasses - Krewe du Optic from Holly Eyewear

I don't think this outfit needs too much explaining. Casual fridays sometimes don't need to be too casual! It's just as simple as throwing on a nice oversized, but STILL fitted blazer on top to balance out those insanely comfy boyfriend jeans that you bought pre-worn-in (oh yes, I buy them "worn").

These glasses add pizazz to any outfit, the mirrored orange-yellow lenses make your face pop! I mean, if these are good enough for Gigi, they are good enough for me.
If you don't have a pair of mirrored sunnies yet, I think its time to head out to find yourself a pair …

*hint hint* TREND ALERT!

Free People x Jess Undecided

Top - Free People Pants - Topshop | Necklace - Liana Marie

Free People is coming closer to the downtown core! As much as I love the cute little boutique Free People has in Yorkville, I am super excited that it will be downtown now too.

Free People's pieces are always unique, but still has that understated casual (boho) vibe that I love so much. Long white tees are one hundred percent my thing and when I received this beauty in the mail I knew that it would immediately become a staple in my closet.

I paired Free People's beautiful boho vibes with the talented Liana Marie's polished boho jewelry line.

I can't wait to shop more of Free People's pieces at the new store this week and hopefully I'll bump into some of you there too.

Confessions of the turtleneck

So I have a love hate relationship with turtlenecks - and here is where it begins...

I am one of those people that is always cold and always needs a scarf in the winter that covers every little exposed area of skin from my upper torso to my chin, so needless to say when turtlenecks became all the rage again a couple winters ago I was WAY excited. Unfortunately my skin didn't feel the same way... My ecsema likes to hang out mostly in my neck region. So let's just say my neck isn't as friendly with the turtlenecks as I'd like them to be.

Sadly, this means I have to choose my days wisely when I want to wear a turtleneck- aka it's got to be a semi short outting where I will be in a cold enough climate that my skin doesn't realize I've tricked it into a turtleneck again.

But really - the struggle IS REAL !
